Legal Writing Platform Clearbrief Announces Integrations With Relativity, iManage

Clearbrief, a SaaS AI legal writing platform, announced on Tuesday that it has integrated with e-discovery provider Relativity and document management provider iManage.

The Clearbrief platform allows users to write directly into Microsoft Word with an add-in that splits the screen between a brief draft while simultaneously showing all of the sources that support the brief, such as evidence and discovery materials.

Clearbrief can also make suggestions on what other relevant evidence could help with an argument used in the brief; help catch mistakes or fake cases; and cite-check facts and law, among other capabilities.

With the new integrations, users will now be able to import folders of documents and saved searches into Clearbrief to avoid having to switch back and forth between Relativity, iManage, and Clearbrief to cite to their documents, Schafer explained.

Now there’s a drop-down that allows you to authenticate into Relativity or your case management system or iManage so that you can you’ll be able to see those subfolders within iManage, within Relativity, and then just copy in just the stuff that you want to write about in this case.

The integration announcement comes about a month after Clearbrief released two new generative artificial intelligence-powered features: Hyperlinked Timeline and “Ask Your Docs.”

In 2022, Clearbrief also integrated with the case management platform Clio and legal research platform Fastcase/vLex.

Looking ahead, Clearbrief told The Legal Innovator’s Guide that, spurred by client demand, more integrations are likely on the horizon.
