For all the Attorneys and other legal professionals looking for document automation solutions, there are many options out there. Whether you are looking for low-code or no-code solutions or customizable high-code solutions, I've got something for everybody. Use the applications below for creating standard documents such as NDAs and filing forms like retainer agreements.
We have a lot to get through, so let's get cracking!
Kira - If you have a specific law practice like bankruptcy or contract law, then Kira would be an excellent choice for your firm. Kira's application of Machine Learning is quite impressive. A user highlights the concepts/clauses you want Kira to find in future contracts and to learn; then, you can save the clauses in a playbook of sorts which you can then apply to future drafting.
Lawyaw - If you use Clio for case management, check out this fantastic plug-in application. Where Clio's document automation falls short, Lawyaw far exceeds expectations in the document automation sector. You first build out templates in Word, then answer a series of questions to provide the software with the data it needs to generate documents based on those templates.
Documate - For standard document automation at a low cost, Documate is the way to go. Documate has no unique selling point, making it a low-cost and high-return investment. It has an attractive UI (user interface), but if you want to code additional features, this might not be for you.
Woodpecker - Woodpecker, is a good Microsoft Word add-in that generates templates in Microsoft Word.
High Q - This software is by far my favorite one. You can use High Q's 'iSheets' to review documents and summarize the findings. You can also use High Q to automate the production of progress reports. For litigation professionals, you can use High Q to automate all the documents necessary for litigation, including letters. In a litigation matter, you can run reports to show what's overdue or what correspondences you have received, which is another cool feature. As a bonus, High Q throws in a collaboration tool through which clients can track the progress of their matter. On top of that, you can set up email alerts to inform users of approaching deadlines.
